SAVE THE GATE!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I don’t know if most of you know that there is a movement in full swing to save Yankee Gate 2.
Here is the link if you don’t know about it already…

It’s hard enough to see the stadium go down but even if nothing else if they preserve this part of history, they would be doing a huge service not just to the Yankees and Yankee fans but for the sport of baseball and it’s living legacy.
Anyway, the significance of Gate 2 is that it’s one of the last vestiges of the old Yankee Stadium BEFORE it was renovated between 1974-75. It is the one part that is still in it’s natural state from when it was initially built in 1922.

Granted they want to do a huge recreational park with baseball fields and tennis courts and the like but it would rock to have Gate 2 serve not only as a gateway to the new park but also as a standing piece of history of the old stadium for future generations baseball fans to be able to see and appreciate.
I want to be able to get this to ESPN or even Bob Costas to see if this part of Yankee history can be saved and plus he’s a baseball head like most of us in this country. I wish I had the money because I would totally finance it without question.
We need all the voices and support we can get. Thanks! =)
